Ok guys I know it's short notice but what say we get a few people down to Wakefield Park Raceway which is near Goulburn in NSW (halfway between Canberra and Sydney) on Saturday the 5th of June.

The track has had two cancellations so both days of the weekend are drive days (ie anyone off the street can come) but the Sunday has been advertised for a month or so. Saturday has not so it will be hopefully fairly empty and we can have lots of fun.

Cost is $80 per driver and you have to have a Wakefield license which costs $40 for a year. (Some of you will already have these.)

It's good clean fun and if anyone is thinking about going but has never been before, as someone who has only been to two I can definitely say that you will have fun no matter what skill level or modification level you have. A Skyline with no modifications at all and just normal street tyres will still be heaps of fun and there is no embarrassment in being slower than a Hi Po GTR cos most of us are. :(

You need a helmet but you can hire one at the track for $20 ($50 refundable deposit), long sleeve cotton shirt (it's going to be cold anyway), and long pants.

Post up you interest and get you friends involved.

Cheers.

I thought part of dutton is held at wakefield park on the saturday..

I was gonna head down on the sunday for a track day but decided that study would be a better option as I have an exam on that week...

We should get the team trackday of old reassembled for a EC day! Start saving for brake pads and tyres people!

woohoo... go dutton go dutton... I'll have the pulsar, but would have loved to... why is there so many motorsport activities on at the one time???? so many clashes!

(sorry to hijack your thread adam!)

Does this help anybody?

CS_180. No half days. you turn up anytime, pay $80.00 and drive(well few other things happen too). You turn up late, you get less time

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
