I have no problem with speed cameras. If u dont speed u dont get fined or lose points. Speed cameras, mobile or fixed aren't a problem. Drink drivers and actual hoons are a problem as are fatigued drivers. Middle aged men who can't time manage properly and leave for work 20 mins late and HAVE to tailgate in their sporty as f**k Mazda 6 are a problem also. Just sayin'

I have to admit my occasional guilt to this here, though in my 34.

Lol I'm late far to regularly, but that doesn't mean traffic can do 50 in a 70 zone. I agree with the speed cameras and red light cameras, if only they displayed the speed properly at Moore Park road  . Safety cameras only work where people know how to drive and have common sense, which on Sydney tend to be not that common (e.g. slamming on the brakes because light went yellow, even though you could have safely made it doing the speed limit, but then, who does the speed limit these days?).

Here's a standard: If it takes you more than thirty seconds to reach 60 km/h, get off the roads.

Not enough people blast their horns at below-par drivers. Car in front doing 60 in a 70 zone with nothing to prevent them doing the speed limit safely besides themselves? Depress horn button on steering wheel.

I do it occasionally on the freeway, but it seems that they think YOU are in the wrong, despite the highly-visible "Keep Left..." signs. Usually it's a quick flash of the high-beams as I approach them from behind - some people get it, and some people (it seems) don't know what their mirrors are for, or why the hell I'm flashing.

It's even more annoying when there are a CHAIN of cars all swapping into another lane to overtake a right lane hog, and it still doesn't sink into that person's head.

Observed Cultural Differences Years Ago

(I don't know if anything has changed)

* Hong Kong - Flash the lights > people move

* Bangkok - Toot the horn > people move

* Sydney - Flash the lights > people stay put

* Sydney - Toot the horn > you cop middle finger

* Sydney - Blast the horn > people brake hard

* Sydney - Train Horn > people move

Got tooted yesterday going over a rail crossing at about 50km in a 60 zone. Not to mention the rail crossings are terrible and it's like a roller coaster ride. I resisted my urge to do the both.

I think the major factor is mentality and daily stresses that people go through. Putting up with terrible traffic 24/7. I've found the further away from Sydney you go, the friendlier the traffic is.

Sydney has nothing on Victoria.

We have to make sure it doesn't end up like our Mexican neighbours.

Driving down the freeway- these are my notes/differernces

-Fixed speed cameras have nil signage warning of their location

-Police actively hide, including behind bridges, and within bushes in the median strip making it impossible to see them.

- Unmarked random cars parked on the side of the highway contain speed cameras.

- Cameras on the back of bridges

And lets not forget the polices shoot and ask questions later policy.

Train horns are for chumps. Real mean use ship fog horns:

On a more serious note, NSW isn't anywhere near as bad as Vic. Just stick to the speed limits and we won't have to pay voluntary taxes. Cruise control comes in very handy for this purpose.

    • Does anyone sell a pipe that's made to go from the Greddy FMIC kit for ECR33 (RB25DET) to the Greddy intake manifold?
    • Not that I know from experience, but in theory you'd want your gate spring to be as close to target pressure as possible, so you'd go with the higher gate spring?
    • Before I commit to it as I already have the wastegate off the car, would you change it to the 9psi spring instead of the 12, or whack it back on now and try your suggestion?   Edit: Actually I might just swap the spring and see what the logs say after another few pulls, as we know it's still spiking without the Mac valve in the picture so I need more data without the Mac valve trying to combat the issue.
    • Sounds good Hmm suppose the main thing is, how much do you care about this car? The filler doesn't make for a very good water barrier lol. If there was a tiny little bit of rust forming now, that in 3 to 5 years time becomes obvious under the paint (starts to bubble up), would it bother you?
    • I already have the ability to datalog the voltage... what I can't do is correlate it to what the gauge is showing when I'm looking at the data at a later date. Or something like this. Except getting the oil to 125C+ involves me going 200+kmh at the track so you can imagine this is a little tricky unless I do something like note what the voltage is when I am at the top of 5th gear so I have a point to reference on. Drove car today. O2 still reading richer because hopefully not a leak instead of massive restriction I've introduced. Car really doesn't sound like a LS. It's quite strange. Pulled a bit of fuel out up top. This does potentially explain why my spark plugs looked like the car was running pretty over-rich. If I was tuning it to a ~12.7 which in reality was far richer than that in the past. It will be handy to have the dyno WB to compare my WB to to compare notes that's for sure. At this point I'm happy to just sit in the passenger seat and tune the thing given I've got about 7 million hours on the platform lol.
