I'm very keen to take mine down there. But as its still in Jetwreck's dad's garage I'm just not sure how it will be running this week. I was thinking about going in a week or 2 and was hoping Jetwreck's would be ready to trek there also. Keen to see the 13 sec line broken

What kp/h did dale hit when he got the 13.8?

100mph or piss fart away I think.

13.8@ 100.11MPH

I;'d like to but not ready at this stage..what time do you think it would get??

I'd be betting a 13.6, maybe better.

Your car has the same turbo as mine, with a bunch of other supporting mods and a damn good tune. ;)

Theo ran 13.9 with 206rwkw, and yours would have to have at least 30 odd KW more than mine.

What mods are you running again dale? Just trying to work out where my car should be at

Well my car is back together but I need a new BOV. Don't think I can sort that before tomorrow so I'm out for this week sorry guys

It's only farting, it should still drive well.. Just block it off like I mentioned if you are worried.

When's the tune? ;)

It's about time I ran mine, but Calder is closed at the moment. Nearest drags is Heathcote, 3 hours away. I may as well drive up for this.

It's bleeding off boost which sucks.

Tune prob not for a while. As much as I want an emanage. I have spent way to much money of late. The bank balance needs to recoup. But is has nismos so it will have to do the job for now.

If I do blank off the bov could it cause any damage?

Maybe a trip up to Sydney and wsid is due for you. I bet we could get a good stag turn out if you were also running. Plus Craig might sort his shit out also.

I went back to a stock stall converter, no hope of boost off the line for me, most of you would have me by 3 car lengths at the start while I crawl away.

But I would drop the high stall back in, just to upset Craig, if I was coming up sometime. :)

Blitz dry cotton panel filter, my own 2.5" mandrel bent suction pipe, Sierra S2 Highflow (ceramic coated), stock actuator with 5mm preload, plenum spacer, 3 inch dump (ceramic coated), 3 inch midpipe with 100cpi cat (ceramic coated), Fujitsubo Legalis exhaust and the brake wire cut mod.

Stock airbox, stock intercooler, stock computer, stock injectors, stock fuel pump.

There is other stuff, but not that directly effect performance.

The key mod in my case; is the loose nut behind the steering wheel. :whistling:

How much stall do you get off the line with the high flow Dale?

This is the issue I had; I could only stall the car to 2500 RPM; which left me with 5-7 Psi leaving the line. It got away ok; but nothing like it does on the street. At 2400 RPM it was still registering vacuum on the boost gauge.

I believe Sky^rt had a similar issue at Calder building boost at stall; but even knobbled, he ran a 12.9. :woot:

A full blooded launch would've put him closer to mid 12.

On the street; I can stall it up, it takes around 2 seconds to reach 2500 RPM and once it reaches 5 Psi, it whips up to 3200 RPM and 15 Psi.

Release brake; the torque split gauge goes to it's maximum, it spins the rear wheels pretty hard for about 4 metres, then pisses off.

The difference in launch is MASSIVE.

I firmly believe a "Street Launch" would've had me around 13.6.

Such is life. ;)

    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
