Hey guys,

Totally off stagea topic but i am the new ower of a holden frontera. It was my sister and her husbands but smashed the front end in an accident so i purchased it for the total of 1 months car payment....BARGIN lol. Im also planning to purchase a 260z 2+2 later on down the track or a cheap 180 for a track car and something for me and my 2 sons to work on (they are only young but a good skill to know). The frontera was planned to be the tow vehicle for this future track car.

Now i just got to source a front cut depending on damage. Doesnt look too bad and is repareable

Glad you did not say "I bought a Jeep".

Is that because it requires two morons volleying the same phrase back and forth in case everyone watching has an IQ similar to theirs?

Spent the day stripping the front end. After hours off bloody knuckles this is where I have gotten too. Just got to cut away 1/2 off each fender and bottom radiator support and im ready to source a front cut as engine has a few visible leaks

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
