Just wondering what you guys think i should do with these 19x10.5 LMGT4s I just bought.

Was thinking of getting them painted 'Nismo Black' to match my 18 x 9.5 Omori set, but on the other hand I'm thinking it would be a shame to paint over the factory silver with polished lip finish.

Will be going on a Bayside Blue BNR34 by the way.

Thoughts?

I'd leave them silver personally (with your BsB body).

A Nismo Black Omori set later on for the track will make a great contrast.

I have 2 sets of LMGT4s both in Nismo Black (powdercoat) - but that's because my car is QM1 white and they were both 2nd hand with slight imperfections.

Very nice, was watching these even though I don't have anything to put them on! Went for a decent price too, congrats!

Another vote for leave them silver, will look excellent against the bsb. Only tip would be to change centre caps, go the flat caps in the diamond cut finish as per my sig. Jesse streeter sorted mine for a good price

They went for an OK price, but when you add, delivery, commission, etc it ended up costing me more than a new set would.

They look great in your sig, i think those centre caps are definitely the way to go.

Yea but I was told the LMGT4 were semi discontinued (need decnt number of orders before Rays will make them). And to make things harder, 10.5 are typically a made to order size and even for TE37, they can take awhile since its not off the shelf (typically). Good pick up I'd say.

ps: if you've seen my other post, you might want to check how much a new set will cost as I've notice Rays for whatever reason decided to jack up their already very exp rims by another 50%+ (something like 2yrs ago was 52,000yen and now 82,000yen, TE37 18x9.5).

No idea. This was 2yrs ago when I got the 18x9.5 TE37. I was actually after 18x10.5 TE37 or LMGT4 but the TE37 needed a couple of months (which I didnt want to wait) and LMGT4 doesnt even have an ETA date (even 9.5). Which is why I end up with these TE37 now.

Cost shouldnt be all that hard because what I get quoted is basically what is listed on Ray's website. Just check that and convert to AUD + frieght + agent commission and it should be it. I paid 3.2k for mine when it was 52,000yen (1aud = 75yen?)back then so you can kinda work backwards and see how much the frieght and commission is. 10.5's gonna be slight more expensive too.

Easier, email Streeter or similiar exporter to get an actual figure.

Define decent number Brandon.
10 sets?
I'm sure these forums could get 10 people interested in a 19x10.5 +12 set of lmgt4s.
Depending on retail price at the moment, it would even be easy.

Lmgt4s can be made, 10 sets is the min order ,and they come in 4 colours offset 12 and 22 ,I looked at doing this about 1 year ago through the guy that imported my car for me,but it was 4800 for bronze black silver ,I think white was slightly dearer.

  • 1 month later...

Nice mate. I don't usually like 19s on a GTR but you have changed my opinion. Suits the car to a tee. Perfect. Congrats

Yeah i used to have that same opinion on the 19's, but for the street and depending on the wheel type, i think they can look quite nice

The photos were taken from yarra blvd I believe. Nice little bit of twisty action. Not the best for the 34 gtr but nevertheless lots of fun if you're bored :)

Those rims are the best for any 34 gtr. Hard to source so I went with TE37's

Just perfect, no repaint required.

Leave as is.

Plus, keep them in original and minty condition and they will only appreciate in value.

PM me if you want to know where to get a set of unbeatable lock nuts.

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
