Price is $7000.

Just rang and spoke to Paul, he has cancelled the day as he did not receive enough deposits, as ppl were concerend about the rain, and wanted to pay on the day, which to anyone that has attended these sorts of days, well you know thats a recipe for lots of no shows.

So day is cancelled, he mentioned a day later in the year at Calder, but thats ages away...

Whats with Victorians, Team Track Day in Sydney is usually out the night before doing rain dances :)

Seriously, i will put up the funds if we can get the numbers, obviously not next week, but perhaps late August.

Roy - Team Vic track day is growing. Sameer is talking to his mate Lindnsay about us borrowing his track for a day later in the year. The number of guys interested in the track is growing quickly so we'll get it sorted. Eventually.

BTW - whats happening with you and the Dutton? You still entering now that geoff is a cripple or what?

Roy ...BTW - whats happening with you and the Dutton? You still entering now that geoff is a cripple or what?

I want to, but not by myself. Firstly its the funds, but mostly its not being able to have a laugh and share the car with.... with broken 3rd gear are you looking for a co-drive? :)

My teams budget is pretty poor... so I cant pay you your normal professional/hired gun driving rates :D

Mate Im hoping to have my gearbox funtional well and truly before August. Im even hoping to have it before the next MSCA at Winton so I can put it through its paces.

But if things go awefully wrong I may be in contact! I'll be prepared to discount my fee's substancially for you mate! :)

Ash you're a spoil sport.

I don't mind the wet too much, just involves a lot of pucker factor. Would have played if I wasn't off to ACT.

Roy, at this stage I'll definitely be out for Dutton so good luck with a co-driver. Watch Snowy as he breaks stuff

Can I borrow your car sometime soon to measure up the HICAS? Call me if you have time this weekend.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
