BakemonoRicer
If you've done that amount of damage to your rims, chances are you've bent a lot more underneath the car. I'd be more concerned about that. tripsteady
255 is too wide for 8", 235 is spot on. You have a wide selection of wheels you can use. Just look for stockies with tyres. is it dangerous ?found really cheap new rims to get me by but they are 8' wide and i need to fit 255's on them I guess what Im asking is , i know its preferable to fit 235's on 8' wide wheels but is fitting 255's dangerous in anyway(no track work , just a light daily driver) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/427593-are-these-rims-fixable-help-please-pics/page/2/#findComment-6905841 Share on other sites
niZmO_Man
255 is pretty much vertical sidewall on a 9", so on an 8" it *should* be okay. I would go for it, you have enough sidewall height. It's a temporary measure to get you going anyway. Bennis
Itll be fine, itll just mushroom. Alot of muscle car owners do it. Just google 8" wide 255 tyre theres heaps of picks. Probably dont go taking corners super aggressively fast but Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/427593-are-these-rims-fixable-help-please-pics/page/2/#findComment-6907447 Share on other sites
