Soundboyracer
At what point do I need a management/ a tuner / tune. I have a Rb25det with a gearbox. I was thinking about replacing the turbo with something a bit bigger. Complete with a external wastegate setup. Injectors and maybe a 300zx maf. I saw some aftermarket brains selling that have a tune with bigger injectors and the maf. Makes sense? Would I need a management and a tune for those mods? WMDC35
yeah need a tune for those mods (aftermarket ecu, nistune) I wouldn't go for an off the shelf chip, the tune is the critical part Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/430205-management/#findComment-6968705 Share on other sites
CLNSKY
Remember to try and install all mods together and only get 1 tune. No point getting a tune after injectors. Then another tune after going big turbo etc. You will definitely need to change ECU's / management. Cheapest would be Nistune, and other and more expensive options would be haltech, blackbox, Link G4 etc. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/430205-management/#findComment-6968835 Share on other sites
GTScotT
You need an ecu (management) for the mods you describe. Do a few weeks reading on the forum and you will form a better understanding on the topic. Don't rush into anything just yet, there is a lot to know before you can commit to something like that.. More than you can learn by asking questions in one thread, you will need to do lots of reading. Feel free to PM if you feel really lost. Good luck. Soundboyracer
Thanks guys. I think I need to start doing a bit more reading rather than reading builds. R31Nismoid
You benefit from aftermarket management/tunes with a stock turbo... So anything more than that, is most certainly going to be required.
