Mugabetown - Whoretownin' At It's Worst.

Morning mate

Sounds like a good plan

Igniter is in the coils, does not look like loom or coils TBH they operate under load and at speed, not plugs either.

Background on the car:

400rwhp r34 gtt

never had an issue with missfire ever

109000K's

only missing at revs while free revving

no issues under load or at max boost (23psi)

Igniter should be a separate unit consisting of transistors/diodes. they are on the back of the rocker cover on rb26s - not sure where located on r34gtt. They are also referred to as a Power Transistor Unit

I believe that in s2 Rb25's and neos, the ignitor is inside the coilpack. Unlike the s1 Rb25. I'm not familiar with 26 setups though

RB26's have their igniter module at the back on top of the plug covers.

rb25s - Answered

MagicMikeZ32 would know all about them failing lol

Mine were 20+ years old, no issues. Don't even need engine out to change them.

Having said that, I am using yellow jackets at the mo, for no aparant reason other than 'modify'

Not the coils the PTU in Z32s. I had to replace mine. http://forums.nicoclub.com/tip-for-ptu-problems-t276337.html

So thats the difference between S1 and S2 packs.

    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
    • Ah coolant overflow, previous discussions make way more sense now lol.
    • ok. Yea, then I would need to remove the turbo and weld an adapter on to it instead, if I fuc* this one up.
