Day 1 of our new structure at work, goodbye job satisfaction! *waves*

That bad huh?

My work restructures all the time, in other words everyone else decides to do less and I get even more  And there are only 3 people in the office!!!

Yeah they split our functions into 2 teams. Assessment and compliance. We used to do both and it was good for our careers, have really well rounded skills. Now you are either glued to a desk or dealing with dumb complaints all the time.

so, you should now say that you 'specialize' in either Assessment / compliance Andy

That's a possibility I guess. Being overly specialised in my field isn't always a good thing though!

that is true.

However, you know that you can and have been working with both components up to now.

just don't forget that

Also spotted a white Stag with an R34 front end conversion, had a GTR badge on the grille but I didn't see if it was a GTR front end. Pulling onto Samford road on the range between Samford and Ferny Grove.

Why is everyone putting spotted posts in whoretown?

This offends me :P

I didn't rrealiseit was whoretown till you said that...I just saw Mike's post and assumed it was the spotted thread.

standard 34 front does not fit, needs the GT-R front to fit the wide track

seeing as this is now the spotted thread, saw PEte today heading gold coast bound on the M1 in the GT-R, gave him a toot as he drove past me doing 120 and didnt even get a response !

Slacker

    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
    • Bloody apprentices! 🙄
    • Not sure yet.  Was considering speedtek because it was rated to 800hp, but when I did some research about him I don't think I will go for that🤣 So maybe giken gear set, but I'm afraid it won't be strong enough🙄
    • Keeping in mind that for most people this is a week to month long job!
    • Its also worth mentioning that 30 years after it left the factory and god knows how many missed oil changes since, there is every possibility that one or more lifters are ticking because they are sticky/gummed up. To resolve that you need to pull the cams then pull each lifter, disassemble, clean, reassemble, soak in oil and re-install, and they should come up good as new.
