Since the last month or so I've had this weird vibration noise coming from behind the dash, somewhere around the glovebox and centre vent area....

It happens when braking due to vibrations until you come to a stop, and also does it now when driving, I've noticed if I'm on a smooth bit of freeway doing more then 90km/h or so it goes away

It sounds like maybe abit of plastic is slightly rubbing against something and the movement of the car is enough to make it vibrate

Any ideas what it could be or how to find the issue?

Very annoying !

GF's earings in the ashtray :whistling:

been in the glove box lately and slammed it shut??

done any work in that area lately - last few months

usb cable from the ECU ?

have to try stick your head under and grab and shake a few things gently and go through elimination

nothing I can say oh yes that happened to me and it's .....

doesn't sound like leaf litter etc..

(ps. I'll go grab some photo's of the GT'R's steering wheel today - still in shop :( )

edit: just a thought - you haven't got any crusty plastic dried out from age fall off. like front dimsiter vent clips

aftermarket radio chasis or screws..

I emptied my glove box still does it, doesn't sound like leaf litter or anything more of a metal on metal vibration sound

Haven't touched anything in that area either but I might remove my glovebox and see what I can see up there and if I move a bunch of cables and see how it goes

I don't want to remove my dash just to find te problem but if it continues I have no other choice !

Re steering wheel, thanks mate !

Ok I found the problem !!! Well my wife did actualy

It was my electronic highway tag that clips onto the windscreen, the clip on holder was abit loose and it would rattle and vibrate !

Hahaha

Glad I found the problem lol
