Oil + Filter + Fuel Filter + spark plugs + airfilter is all easy DIY bonding with your baby. saves labour cost.

Belts (Fan, Power Steering, A/C) is also a DIY jobby. saves labour cost.

Timing belt is more fiddly and I am Not confident (although many on here wouid say DIY it) so I'll pay.

I supplied the Timing belt kit, they supply the water pump.

(Roughly) - $450 labour + $175 for pump + coolant + miscellaneous... I'm guessing around $800ish all up?

I had a place quote me $1500 labour to do the timing chain on my ex Bluebird (1994) they reckoned engine out. I honestly believe they just didn't want the job.

I helped a mate do it for 2 bottles of wine and I got the kit from Repco. Engine in. :)
