Hi Peoples.

Was going to put these on my car, but circumstances have changed and I need the extra cash.

What we have here is a full set of 4, lightweight, magnesium centered, 3 piece center lock racing rims.

These have the rare deep centered face and can clear massive brakes.

post-94131-0-96186200-1382568312_thumb.jpg

They are a staggered set.

Sizes are:

Front: 18" x 10" -2.5mm offset (8" inner barrel and 2" lip)

Rear: 18" x 12" +1.5mm offset (9" inner barrel and 3" lip)

They were originally off a Porsche 996 RSR cup car, so have a 130pcd for the drive pins.

They are used, so if you want them shiny, the lips will need to be polished and the centers repainted, but they are racing rims.

They have a silver face, but i was going to have them redone in BBS Gold. My personal favourite.

Even when they are dirty, they still looking farking awesome!!

They are all straight, without cracks and roll true.

Asking $3500 plus delivery, or pick up from Wollongong NSW.

These things are unreal, and would cost you almost $10,000 to buy brand new.

So pick up an awesome set of rims for a fraction of the price, and best of all, being 3 piece you can change the barrels and lips to suit your needs.

If you want close up pics of the rims, PM me your number and i can send them to your phone.

Nothing says racecar like a genuine set of centerlock BBS racing wheels. And why centerlock???? Because RACECAR!!

The offsets are off.

If they were close to whats stated, I would have looked into them more :)

What do you mean by "they are off"?

With a 9" rear lip and 3" front lip, +1.5 offset doesn't sound right.

Also with a 8" rear lip and a 2" front lip, couldn't possibly be negative offset. Unless the bolt point goes that far back.

have worked with porsche cup wheels.

I believe the front do have around 2inchs of meat(maybe more) where the splines hook I to, so the offsets wouldnt surprise me.

I get where you are coming from. Its kinda hard to picture it but the center drop on these to the mounting face is enormous!!

On just the center piece alone there is a total hieght of around 103mm which is around 4". Then the lip mounting face receeds back by about 1". Then you have 3" worth of outer lip on the rear, so that is very close to 6" from mounting face to outer lip. And being the rears are 12" wide, that leaves very close to 6" from the mounting face to the inner lip.

Same with the fronts, except they are 10" wide, and the inner and outer halves are 1" smaller in width (2" total) which gives you the same senario.

Here are the measurements i took from the mounting face to the very outer edges of both halves of both front and rear rims.

Front:

from mounting face to inner lip 136mm

from mounting face to outer lip 141mm

= -2.5mm offset

Rear:

from mounting face to inner lip 165mm

from mounting face to outer lip 162mm

= +1.5mm offset

There is around 64mm of caliper clearance from the mounting face to the rear face of the spokes at the far most point, to clear the massive calipers they use.

These really are an amazing rim. I dont really want to let them go, but like i said, I could use the extra cash right now.

If anyone is interested in these, I have a mate who can do a custom bolt on center lock conversion to suit these wheels and make it any pcd you want to suit any stud pattern.

He already has the design made up and ready to go.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
