Bride \ Recaro "replica" Seats Carbon , Kevlar Etc

Recommended Posts

Well i dare say mine should stand out, as i dont think anyone ordered anything like mine.

I could possibly pick mine up this arvo if all is good. Just depends on whether i can steal my brothers van or not lol.

Pics! Very keen on the quality. I missed this GB but will be in on another if it happens.

Yeah, I picked mine up on tuesday arvo and they are pretty damn good.

The only problem I found with mine is my hips dont quite fit in the seats, they squeeze that tight that it is uncomfortable :/

I will admit I am 6'4" and 100kg, and they are designed for little asian butts lol

So I may have a set for sale soon :(

Ill put some pics up when i get a chance.

Also the universal rails are not a straight bolt on, you need to fabricate brackets to suit your individual needs. Or buy genuine bride rails.

Yea my cuga's felt a little tight too although i'm only 6'1'" but have a wider back/broad shoulders from the gym etc.

On my r34 gt-t from the stock seat rails the mounting brackets were fixed to the rails with some weird type of screw - looked kind of like a wing nut but without a head to take it off - it was just flat. Wasn't too sure how to get them off without damaging them and the position its in makes it quite awkward so i wasn't able to get the old brackets off and onto the new seats.

Just decided to go for bride rails just waiting for them to arrive.

Have asked the supplier for some tips

"regarding the mounting, in fact, they only need to remove the original seat, and mount the double slider of racing seats onto the original seat rail and fix the racing seats"

Hope that help's everyone

Option1garage here in Brisbane sell custom ADR approved seat rails that will fit Bride and Recaro super low seats, cheaper than genuine bride rails too. Can't wait to get my a$$ in my seats Longz :P

how comfortable are they on long distance drives?

Comfortable, however even for me (being moderately skinny), it's almost a tight squeeze in the thigh area.

Otherwise I still prefer them over stockies

    • A quick google, and some E39 users have found pulling my sensor out/apart and cleaning it alleviates their issue. Then get the oil warning to go off, and once it is off (from the sensor saying it was unhappy) some find they can just unplug it and it is happy to just keep going now. Maybe give it a crack? If you can actually pull the sensor apart, hit it with some electrical contact cleaner.
    • Yep. In the E39 it's slightly different than the others. Honestly I'd just leave it but every time I drive the car it tells me oil is low and that just makes me check the dipstick. It is a BMW Afterall and it tries to expel it's own oil regularly.  Thankfully it's not like my E90 that has no dipstick at all so you just gotta trust it.
    • Was that also a typo? $350?! Just typing "BMW oil level sensor" and prices start out a lot more sanely than $350. I'm guessing it's a sensor used in one low volume model only or something?
    • They kept the product number the same, so we "didn't pick it up when packing your order". If you packed the order, you clearly saw the box wasn't Hella...
    • Actually, the equivalent skyline part is both cheaper and simpler, maybe you should come back from the dark side?
