I have a new rb26 cylinder head going on during a routine overhaul and will be fitting Ferrea Comp+ valves.

Ferrea do not supply guides for rb26s. ( I have checked)

Just wanting to know if anyone has had any issues with these valves and OEM cast iron guides?

Also using new OEM retainers and locks and spring seats with tomei lifters and procams.

cheers

Head and guides are new. Bronze wears quicker and car is tracked only 4-5 times a year.

I would if I was flogging it every weekend or it was a dedicated track car but in my particular situation cast iron is more robust and longer lasting.

Just need to know if any galling/micro seizure occurs with this nickel stainless steel alloy valve and the cast iron guide.

Apparently pure stainless galls in cast iron guides.

Appreciate you comments anyway

Bronze guides aren't too bad when your running a bucket over valve. Its rocker on valve that gives them a hard time. In saying that theres no discussion that the cast lasts longer.

Errr no dude if you use there dual spring set up you need there retainer and spring seat otherwise Ferrea valves and locks are direct OEM replacement

Double springs are counter productive for only 1.6 bar boost as are bronze guides for anything but a dedicated track car.

Finally had some information back from Ferrea ( took a month) and these valves are fine with OEM cast iron guides in case anyone else wants to use them.
