Im thinking of buying a exedy triple plate carbon clutch and cant seem alot of thoughts and reviews about them. The r32 gtr is street driven car, wit hopefully soon 450-500kws at the wheels. Just wondering what people think of them. I have a twin ceramic clutch in it now but i know with a few launches it won't last long as its my 2nd twin plate. I can use the twin for my 31 turbo and because it needs one very soon....

I really liked my carbon twin but the issue with carbon clutches is they need to be warmed up before a decent run but other than that the twin at least was nice to drive so I assume the triple would be ok too but as u say there isn't much info around about then in the real world.

The triple is too much clutch for that power level. The triples are all R (racing) clutches too I think, so more like a switch than a clutch.

Get the Exeedy Carbon D twin plate. Its far superior to any clutch I've driven, including the Nismo twin plates. (which I fried behind my last engine). Extremely streetable at all times.

Yea but if im getting a triple carbon for $1850 should i be complaining? Also most twins are rated for about 600-700hp. I love the nismo twin but how long would it live for? Thats y im looking at a triple...

Well I think it was Piggas who had/has Nismo behind his 2.8 with that kind of power, and after 30k kms and hundreds of launches it came out, was looked at and went straight back in. So will handle the power and last. Just get the comp. version.

Yep. 8 years, 35,000 Kms, would have to be well over 300 launches. Started life at 370 kw, now at 470 kw with close to 800 Nm of twist. Felt the same as it did 6 years ago when I bought the car. C spec version. Done and done.

Paul is up to 475kw at the wheels and it still hasn't let go

.... And been in the car for 8 years. Pitty I won't/ ain't push harder with the car ( due to turbo size). It would be good to see where it calls enough after almost a decade of being in the car!
