try calling other dealers? i remember someone mentioning ferntree gully nissan being pretty good with imports.

or call these guys up first. they helped me out with my locks, and they seem to have automotive exp.

There's nothing overly fancy about JDM vs ADM locks... the dealer you called up just didn't want to help for some reason...

Call Ferntree Gully Nissan and ask what the steps are to get a new key... might require new locks/barrel (???) :)

(R34 key's don't have any chip or anything do they?)

Yeah Nissan are able to help, I contacted both Glen and FTG Nissan when I was having problems and they were happy to help me out. Even an auto locksmith should be able to help out, though it'd be pretty pricey mate.

just take the driver door lock out if you can get into the car and take it to the lock smith and the cut a key according to the lock. 30-40 bux including the key u'll be making a second copy

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
