Hey guys, I'm contemplating selling my evo, some say there car is "capable" of making 500kw, but it's on 240kw, all u need to do is spend another 30k to get there but it's "capable" , this is one of those evos that have made the power it's capable of, and a lot of money, and time has gone into this car, well over 80k not exaggerating... If I sit and count what the parts cost plus labour it would be over 100k... And it's got the best of the best gear in it.. Rarely get driven, the only thing left stock in this car is the 6 speed box and diffs, it has 9 months nsw rego. Less than 1500km ago, Engine has been refreshed with new bearings, gaskets, etc, head has been refreshed as well. New complete precision turbo set up, new brake pads, new clutch, new tyres... Spent over 25k in the last 3 months.. So here's the mod list

price is $46000

Body is in good condition. 1 dent on it on the door. Some scratches on the bottom lip.

Interior is standard trim

This car is nuts to drive, it comes on like a motorbike, and handles like it's on rails, and with the Alcon brakes, it stops as hard as it pulls! Well not really but I haven't tried yet.. lol..

It's tuned on e85 and made 515kw @ 40psi, can make more power with another fuel pump, but I think 515kw is more than enough on the street.. It was tuned at maatouks racing.

Car is located in burwood, nsw please call 0410158440

Price is $46,000 a bargain considering the amount of work, and money poured into this car.

No gt-r madness, you read wrong, my point is that there are people who advertise there car as "capable" of making 500kw plus.. This makes what it is capable of making, 100k has been spent on this car,

But if you think a turbo kit and stroker kit will get you 500kw think again, you will need another 30k.. That's what my point was..

Both links come back to this page.

I didn't read it wrong... it's currently 240kw and the car had 100k worth of parts and labour.. and the standard Evo's have like early 200kw... I just find it hard to believe that's all...

Yes you did read it wrong, I wrote...

Some say, as in, some people selling there evos claim that there 240kw is just moments away from 500kw, and in reality it needs another mortgage to achieve this power...

Then I wrote, THIS IS ONE OF THE EVOS THAT HAS MADE THE POWER ITS CAPABLE OF

Did you still not read it right?

I understand what you mean, but this was a very unclear way of saying it.

What makes it so difficult for people to understand, is you meant to write "their car", but what you actually wrote was "there car".

"There car" does not fit in the sentence, so people start wondering does he mean "their car", "the car" or "there car". If you do not use the right word it makes it difficult to decipher what you mean.

Can I suggest rewrite the ad. I also initially read it wrong which made me laugh while reading. How many other people have read it incorrectly and moved on from your advert.

    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
