s213b
After seeing some dyno sheets of the hypergear atr43ss2 i think it'll be a bit laggy for me. Does anyone have any opinions in terms of response on INTERNALLY GATED kinugawa td06-20g-10cm and hypergears atr43ss1/pu or their op6 highflows? I've got so many people telling me mixed sht I just want some opinions which will be best for the street. I want full boost as EARLY as possible and want to be around the 280rwkw mark. Keeping in mind the td06 is $500 cheaper too Rb25det fresh forged E85 Tomei 256 cams Supporting mods Std manifold / int gate Cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/439786-kinugawa-td06-20g-10cm-vs-atr43ss1/ Share on other sites
GTScotT
The two turbos are not comparable. 280rwkw maximum response on E85 a 2IU highflow from hypergear will get you there. Why aren't they comparable? How much bigger is the td06? 280 was on the low side, ideally I'd want a turbo capable of 300awkw but not if it'll sacrifice too much street ability Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/439786-kinugawa-td06-20g-10cm-vs-atr43ss1/#findComment-7211421 Share on other sites

GTScotT
Why aren't they comparable? I trust you know the difference between a 28 and a 30, its fairly major. You also will struggle to see 300awkw from a TD06 20G, which we have covered recently in another thread. In fact, the forum arms you with more than enough information to form your own opinion on the topic within an hours reading. The Hypergear thread is not only indexed with SS1 results but ALSO TD06 based results. Go to the hypergear thread and fill your cup. s213b
That highflow is an rb20 highflow, decided to bite the bullet and pull that turbo off and get a real one Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/439786-kinugawa-td06-20g-10cm-vs-atr43ss1/#findComment-7211581 Share on other sites
boostn0199
Do you really consider full boost by 3700 as laggy? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/439786-kinugawa-td06-20g-10cm-vs-atr43ss1/#findComment-7211632 Share on other sites
s213b
Do you really consider full boost by 3700 as laggy? Its not 'laggy' but i think its a bit big for what i want. For a street car that barely sees redline and seeing as I'd be happy with 270-280kw on e85 I think it's overkill. Could just go smaller rear housing I guess Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/439786-kinugawa-td06-20g-10cm-vs-atr43ss1/#findComment-7211662 Share on other sites
boostn0199
If thats your power goal on e85 then i would go a hi flow. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/439786-kinugawa-td06-20g-10cm-vs-atr43ss1/#findComment-7211666 Share on other sites
s213b
I've found a garrett bb turbo that's probably a little on the big side but it should do the job. Priced well and internal gate. Made 273kw at 16psi on 95 no cams. Makes 100kw at 3000rpm which seems good Money is also a big factor seeing as this has all blown out 10 times what I expected. Ill do a build up thread Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/439786-kinugawa-td06-20g-10cm-vs-atr43ss1/#findComment-7211680 Share on other sites
hypergear
Std high flow makes 100kws at 3000RPMs and maxing out at 320rwkws on E85. Note this turbo hit 20psi at 3400RPMs, there isn't many turbos out there can do this without chocking the engine tho. Pump 98 fuel usually makes 40kws less. It is cheaper then what cost you to buy a TD06, after testing all this TD06 based turbos, I'm fairly sure it is far more responsive then any thing based in a 10cm turbine and makes more power internally gated. Added 270214: labeled dyno reading from 21U high flow internally gated on Stock manifold E85 (take 40kws off for P98 result) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/439786-kinugawa-td06-20g-10cm-vs-atr43ss1/#findComment-7211880 Share on other sites
ARTZ
my tdo6 almost makes 100kws at 3000rpm ( well 90 but at least my graph is clear..)..and makes more torque at 3k than anything you just posted Stao...it is Externally gated though, internal gate tdo6s are fail Give your Hypergear a run for its money anyday .... its also for sale..full bolton kit....buy it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/439786-kinugawa-td06-20g-10cm-vs-atr43ss1/#findComment-7211897 Share on other sites

I'm still trying to get my head around the hypergear range. What's bigger, the ss1 or the op6 highflow? What is the ss1pu? What physically LOOKS bigger? Stealth is also a contributing factor as I'm in big trouble if I need to go to the pits with a 25 on e85 in my 32 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/439786-kinugawa-td06-20g-10cm-vs-atr43ss1/#findComment-7212108 Share on other sites
Dose Pipe Sutututu
why not feed your highflowed RB25 turbo with E85? isn't it already installed on your motor? scotty nm35
E85 can only help, at least you would pass the emissions test. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/439786-kinugawa-td06-20g-10cm-vs-atr43ss1/#findComment-7212134 Share on other sites
s213b
why not feed your highflowed RB25 turbo with E85? isn't it already installed on your motor? That turbo is being replaced. It's an rb20 turbo and it's tired. Obviously if I already had a rb25 highflow I could use, I'd use it.
