Sau Vic 2014 Motorsport Championship Round 4 - Winton Saturday 17Th May

Recommended Posts

Committee has discussed the current entry situation and everyone should be aware that we expected approx 110 entries on the day. We did discuss removing this event from the MS calendar and replacing it with another in June. However it was agreed this would be too disrupting to everyone making plans for this event.

We still plan to have a sit down discussion with WRX and talk through the issues that everyone has communitacted to us. All being well, we're hoping to be able to do that before the this event.

I never have... but then I guess people know who I am lol.

Another point - Any SAU-Vic Member that has not confirmed attendance for Squires Loft Nunawading @ Winton - Please post up numbers so I can sort the catering out for lunch!

Cheers fellas

count me in mate, I will be popping down for the day to watch, take photos, be annoying etc. Gimme a yell if you need a hand with anything

Hoping to get along to watch & help out if needed - just not sure if I'll make it yet.

Would have loved to enter, but I was there in the Golf last Saturday for the Tampered day

anybody staying up friday night?

have usually stayed at the caravan park because theres planety of spacer for trailers. Will be booking a cabin tonight if anyone wants a bed, help bring cost down.

Half the time they never look at the card anyway so I should be all good.

You should be ok. You have your card don't you? We send out updated stickers for the cards.

email [email protected] and anna should be able to sort you out.

In, interested to see how this one goes.

just noticed WRX are running emergency entries?

Basically if 20 spaces allocated to a group don't get filled, then the emergency entries get to sip in prior to "the off" to fill the 20 car allocation for that session.

Getting better by the minute.

Hey Lee,

What area do you live in?

We need to try and reserve one or two car ports early sat morning if you are going to be up there, soot me a pm with your mobby if we can discuss further

cheers

I've stocked up on Jerry cans so it's a non stop drive up in the morning for me, so I'll try and get there pretty early so I can reserve a few more together, pretty hard for one person to reserve 5-6 bays.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
