I also thought the R32 was just under, just like the R33 is just over.

Anyway, from the other thread which I replied, but closed just before I got my reply in..

What are you guys doing for the cops to pull you over?

I go to Knox all the time, during the day or night for whatever reason. Fair enough my car from the outside looks totally stock and I'm not a P plater or anything.

In all the times I've gone to Knox, I've never been pulled over for anything - even drove behind a divvy van from the carpark around the back to the exit and they didn't even do anything.

Maybe when I go, I just park, do whatever, hop in the car and leave? I don't do hero laps or anything... or are you guys doing something to bring attention to yourselves?

its not what i'm doing

its the fact im in a skyline with a p plate up..

Either way. im going in to the station again tomorrow (went today but couldnt talk to anyone about it) to state my argument.

I am going to say that from 89' - august 91' the skylines were 1260kg making them 125.4kw/tonne (what i got done for), but from august 91' - 93'(type M) they were 1320kg (my car being a 92' model) making it 119.8kw/tonne putting me under the limit.

I guess i will need to goto court to prove that which i really dont want to do but at least at the end of it i will be able to drive my car..

I have also driven around police before and they have not cared. but the first time i got pulled up i was actually speeding. doing 38k's and hour in a 10 zone... which he let me go on, (3 o clock in the mornin, raining) but he said "you realise you cant be driving your car on your Ps" and gave me a ticket for it. then when driving through ringwood (heavy traffic(not doing anything wrong) he pulled me up again (same guy that got me at knox) and gave me another.

I guess we'll see what happens..

Thanks all very much for your input

much appreciated. :headspin:

where do they get their stupid figures from?

the r32gtst is under the limit...

i would go down to the local cop shop and sort it out there and determine exactly where they get their figures from. then you can go to nissan and get factory specs and coem back and shove it up their arse!

I have been to nissan. they have no idea. they said to goto an importer. i went to kamikaze and they also had relatively no idea.

I am calling the police station today to tell them what i think.

see what happens..

Where could i get some solid information from? instead of using some 3rd party website.

Also, shh clarkey

edit: and WazR32GTSt, I could also say their figures are stupid and my car is under the limit, but what use is that? do you actually have any evidence to prove that. cos AFAIK the early models (89' - 91') are actually over the limit, yet the 92' - 93' are ok...

just need some proof of that and im laughing :(

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
