Gt3582R On A Rb25Det

Recommended Posts

I love my gt35 with a. 63 rear housing on my 25 neo 20psi all by 3750 makes 374rwkw on 20psi with fuel supply issue. Once fuel issue is fixed retune time and was pulling well past 7k rpm ;) feels so much better then my old 25 with a kando t67 which was laggier

What fuel? and what dyno? cheers

Nice result :-) I am glad someone has posted one like this for a GT3582R on a RB25 on here, I have mentioned them being able to perform like this and been poo pood for it as though I haven't seen or experienced the same setups myself... Though one of the people who did was trying to advertise their own product I guess.

Good to see they can actually work in Australia, too :-D

Good to see full boost all in around 3750 on the dyno. Can't be sure how that translates to street response but it looks promising. I've been in poorly setup GT30 RB's that are laggier (and much slower!)

I remember hearing that with the .82 housing boost will generally be all in around the 4750 mark on an R33 RB25det. Actually I think that was mentioned earlier in this thread.

Considering this turbo as a cheapish option for a near future dirty 30 build; Hypergear makes something pretty similar that would suit me. But I definitely want the neo 25 head.

VCT

3L

drop in top feeds

higher lift/lower duration stock cams.

Pair all that with a ~GT35 and you get a decent daily and power approaching 400rwkw on e85? yes please

on the street is absolutely awesome ive have the gt and the gtx30s the kandos td06 and t67 all on rb25s and my god the way this kicks is insane, im running ad08 semi slicks and when it hits full boost in first and 2nd it struggles to get grip but when it does it feels like im lifting the front of the car hahah

i highly recommend a setup like this for anyone chasing serious unbuillt power, i will be looking at testing some different brand hi mount manifolds to put to rest the whole my %$^^ brand will make the boost n power come in earlier blah blah blah ive tried one companies manifold and there was 8nm more torque but 4rwkw less at a price tag of $1200 ppppftttt i was quick to sell that junk :)

once my fuel issues sorted and boost turned up to 22 instead of the 19 its on i think ill see 400rwkw if not a few little rwkw off hahaha

    • Google tells me that's a Japanese Rat Snake... 2m long? Man I think Australia has traumatised me to think all snakes are dangerous unless they're pythons. Also... "16 years later..." is that a record on SAU @PranK?
    • Yep, I really miss mine. I dont, however, miss it's understeer. Hard to find a genuine 'Sport' model these days. That sounds awesome! Good fun and great result!  I'd love to do a 1/4 in mine now that its reasonably healthy with the tune. I last did a run in my white GTR, I think it was a 12.3 and I can't remember the mph and I think the little E90 might be quicker.
    • FWIW, I made 372kW on a Mainline dyno, with a stock motor (bar head studs & usual bolt ons) on E85 (pretty timid timing in the mid range) and it blew up after a year of track use. Probably got like 5~6 Wakefield track days and 1x skid pan somewhere in between.
    • Plus, if you want to shoot for over 300rwkW, the Z32 won't really cut it and retaining the PowerFC is getting to be a poor choice. You're going to be much happier with management that can actually see what's going on and have a hope of stopping it from going bad when something breaks (think oil pump). So, the $$ situation is probably different to what you think it is.
    • 350-400kw will not keep that basically stock motor basically stock very long, especially for track only use. It will decide to need a rebuild pretty quickly. I'd go smaller, and not cheap out with a Pulsar item based on older tech. Get a G25 550/660. Just better in every way. Don't think about changing a turbo until AFTER you change your injectors (S15 injectors x6? What CC are those?) and coils/fuel pump. They won't keep up with any aftermarket turbo.
