Power Fc Tuners Advice Needed R34

Recommended Posts

I currently have a Power FC in my R34 GTT that doesn't send a signal to the TPS.

I have 0.00% throttle response showing on my AVCR and when I tested the TPS it appears to get no power.

I tested it with a test light and get no response.

When I unplugged the TPS nothing changes car still runs as if the throttle is closed.

How ever when I run the stock ECU the car runs fine.

My question is:

*Is this a manual adjustment I can make?

*If its an adjustment I need to do on the power fc can it be done with the hand controller?

Additional Symptoms: High idle, very little response (sluggish), 0.00% throttle

Thanks in advance

It would appear that the 5v output from the PFC to the TPS (which is not a "signal" it is just the power - the signal comes back to the ECU from the TPS) is not working. The ECU pinout diagram will tell you which wire should be carrying that power supply. You could then investigate whether it is is even coming out of the PFC or not. It is possible that the pin in the loom plug at the ECU is pushed back just far enough that it won't contact the pin on the ECU, but still contacts the pin on the stocker ECU. Or it may be that the PFC has damage internally that stops it from putting power onto that pin. You'd have to open it up and look for damaged tracks or transistors (or popped capacitors or burnt up resistors or popped diodes or any of the ways it might have suffered an injury).

Was this looking in Sensor/SW Check on the hand controller or measuring the voltage at the TPS?

Were there any other sensors faulting on the Power FC?

Have you measured voltage at the TPS with the standard ECU, and if so what did you get?
