Hey all,

I just bought a 2007 350GT SP 50th Anniversary edition, and I'm finding it rather difficult to dig up any information on them other than a few Japanese fan websites, and some old blog posts from Nissan that have now been archived:

http://web.archive.org/web/20081207232609/http://blog.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/archives/2007/11/50th_limited.html
http://web.archive.org/web/20081202075633/http://blog.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/archives/2007/02/superblack.html

I don't recall much of my 4th grade Japanese lessons, and Google Translate makes a mess of Asian languages (at best).

From the second link, I'm assuming that it suggests the 50th Anniversary models were by order only, and the tables are the breakdown of what was ordered from the 10,000 as of 16 February 2007. Does anyone know when Nissan stopped taking orders, and the final number built?

I've only ever seen 3 for sale in Australia, and I have my suspicions one (currently for sale in SA) is fake. From my findings, and talking to my importer/dealers/RAWS, the 50th Anniversary models all came with the parking cameras mounted in the front bumper, not the door mirrors - which this one doesn't. But this is about all I know of them other than the red leather seats, brushed aluminium dash trim, and serial number engraved windscreen.

Does anybody have any more information on them, or know someone I could ask?

Think he's talking about v36 not v35...? Hardly see any v36 50th around

Yes. I'm talking about the V36.

The 50th Anniversary models of the 350GT all have red leather seats with embroidery signifying the occasion. They were only built between 11/07 and 03/08.

I wasn't aware the V35 came out as a 50th Anniversary... surely they would have stopped production by this point?

Very reluctant to trust the information given by an ad. People will say all kinds of crap to sell their car. 2004 model falls 3 years short of the anniversary year.

50th Anniversary is for the Skyline - first one built in 1957.

70th Anniversary would be of Nissan (I can only assume), founded in 1933. 2003 marking their 70th year.

I found this news service report...

Been looking for more info for days, haven't had any luck. Might try to get in contact with Nissan to find out final build numbers. Be very interested to know how many they pumped out.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
