My thoughts...

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...hlight=manifold

I think part of the reason i and others have noticed an increase in throttle response with aftermarket manifolds is that we usually bolt on different turbos at the same time, typically with freer flowing turbines and exhaust housing..so perhaps is a gas flow/turbine/exhaust housing as much as manfiold design thing

...i really need to get out more...since moving to Melb my post no. has probably doubled

I have one that is exacly the same but not from him and it revs more freely and sounds more meaty.I have'nt got it dynoed tuned yet so I'll keep u posted.Plus I have a larger turbo and bigger cooler and piping so it could be better coz of all that?

The design looks very similar to the trust manifold.

Just a word of caution - manifolds aren't manifolds. I know a guy who changed his tubular manifold for one with pipes 2mm larger and the result was an increase in lag and drop in response. Only 2mm difference. This was on an SR20.

Freebaggin fitted a tubular manifold recently (not sure what style/design), combined with a GT30 only to find no gain in power or response at all.

Having said that, for $490 its pretty bloody cheap - and if nothing else, it will give the car a pretty tough note:)

Oh well, sorry Roy, if you havent seen it, I must be wrong - fair call, no more replies from me.

uh - oh, ive upset somebody.

Come on Steve....just wondering if there is a Trust low mount manifold as i have never seen one for an RB series engine.... wasnt having a dig or trying to be short....like i said "as far as i know"..... :P

If it is modelled on a Trust manifold , or Blitz, Apexi, HKS (any jap brand) then id change my thinking as im only going on crap i have read and observed when working with some material handling/fluids software...hardly automotive performance technology, so practical results speak volumes more then casual observations and texts

Id love to know if others like the GT30 example you have mentioned had similar experiences, as i bolted the new turbo and manifold on at the same time , so i dont know what should take credit for the nicer off boost response, if a bigger turbo would work just as well with the std manifold...well i would rather a cast jobbie over a thin walled tubular
