Gareth87
Hi, I've had a custom surge tank fabricated so I can run a Walbro 460 inside it. Problem is, I am having trouble finding fuel proof connectors that I can run the power to the pump through. I need something like this in the picture, unless someone else has an idea? sleptema
I believe they just have to be insulated? Or a special material so the fuel doesn't eat it? sleptema
I would have thought most electrical stores would have had them. Jaycar/Alanco? Not sure where you live. I believe just as long as the terminals are completely submerged in fuel it should be fine. scotty nm35
I made my own using stainless bolts/washers and shouldered teflon bushes to insulate. Still going strong after 4 years, no leaks. Gareth87
Hey Scotty, ok no worries, shouldered teflon bushes hey... did you just tighten everything up to seal it or did you have to use something to press the bush into the lid? scotty nm35
The bushes pressed lightly into the lid, but that is the part that isolates the power from the earthed lid. The sealing surfaces were top and bottom under the bolt and nut. You could use liquid teflon or similar if you wanted a perfect seal. [200]
They are a little pricey but their service is generally very good and they are quick. I just hate how they advertise ex GST...
