Recommend Me An (interior \ Exterior) Vehicle Detailer In Adelaide

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I'm looking for a great value (both workmanship and bang for buck) interior / exterior Detailer for my current daily driver. :woot:

Can you please post your recommendations and and a link to their website / Facebook page (and / or their contact details).

Also, please let me know if you've used them yourselves personally and your impressions in regards to their personal service / final results on your vehicle.

Thank you in advance

I do all my own cars but having said that a good detail can take a couple of days of hard physical work, so its not for everyone. Buying all the right gear gets costly too. But, very satisfying when its all done

Your not keen to do it yourself?

I love detailing my new cars. It's practically the first thing I do.:-D

I absolutely am keen, and do so every single time I purchase a new car (currently @ car #14) :D

However my current daily driver (just purchased) was an ex-smoker vehicle and after thorough cleaning I've removed 80% of the smell... but the last 20% I can't get rid of.

Yeah time and deodorant....just keep spraying deodorant and or glen 20 on it...or good perfume if you want to smell good... I usually just spray it.liberally around fabrics before I.close it.up at night, that way it smells sexy fresh in the morning

.. Also drive with windows open when possible to air it.out

Its funny, I was a smoker for years..you really dont realise how bad it smells , I cant stand it now...I still love the smell of good weed tho. :P

I've used Royal Car Wash in the CBD on Gouger Street.

Their the only ones that have gotten off clear coat overspray from the exterior on my black sedan!!! :) AAA+++

I go back everytime I visit SA from NSW to apply another layer of polish on my coat to suppress rain droplet buildup when it rains...

I'm taking my car to Elite Finish for a detail. From what I've seen and been told by friends who've used his services, his work is top notch but I'll give you a first hand opinion after he's worked on my car.

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
