Jpnz - V36 Skyline Av Screen Manual (jap To English Translation)

Recommended Posts

Sikahalv. online quick quote, what's that?? I don't mess with that crap :-). I talk to humans! By the way both my vehicles are insured for a total of 90K. When I got my 370GT it cost me 50K (I've had it since 2009), so my ageeded valve is much higher.

Thanks Wogboy :)

I just called Shannons and received an Insurance Quote for $101 per month ($500 excess) comprehensive cover (inc. windscreen) at an Agreed Value of $30,000 for my PV36 Skyline 350GT :D

This is exactly what I wanted and a far better value option than both SGIC and Just Car Insurance.

That's odd I talk to Shannon's and just car. Justcar was heaps cheaper like over a $1000 cheaper. Also Shannon's didn't have my car in there system.

Really odd.

Maybe it all depends on who you talk to

I think so. If they were able to find my 2009 V36 in their system back in 2012, I see no reason why they couldn't find yours. They do list them as 370GT in my policy. Did he try to search for it under that?

Yeah they had 2010 models but not 2011

There is so much to tell you :-)

Best to use the search and start some reading.

But yeah you can turn the reminders of for the service. There might still be some crew doing the transaltion. But you don't need it. I got it done and you can't use any of the functions. Fuel consumption info and service reminder are the only things you can use and you don't need translation for them really. Best to get things replaced. Dvd, satnav, tv and Fm band expander. Good car audio shops can do it all.

P.S English stickers? Don't bother they look tacky.

Don't replace anything! Keep the Japanese Culture strong in your V35 and don't let it slip away...

...until you can barely recognise your once stunning $120,000 Toyota Soarer Grand Tourer driven by a Japanese Executive... which has now become that thrashed bucket you saw advertised on Carsales for $2000, used and abused time and time again by a multitude of bogan owners, with rattle can sprayed factory alloys, do-it-yourself multi-colour vinyl and a hood scoop added into the mix for an extra 50rwkw...

We can't let this phenomenon (aka disease) affect our beautiful V35 \ V36 Skylines! Don't do it bro! ...it all starts with the stereo upgrade and escalates quickly from there...

PS: The stickers really do suck.

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
