Well its gone..

Another SAU skyline leaves the ranks for other pastures.

Its been a great 20 months but tonight I saw her pshtt one last time and drive away.. sounded soo good from outside the car too :D

Some strange co-incidence today too:

* It was within the same month exactly 10 years ago that my R33 rolled off the production line somewhere in Chiba, Japan.

* This morning it ticked over 100,000km for the first time (I took a photo while driving :D.. even got video of it..)

* It was my birthday 3 days ago.

The common questions, may as well answer them all in one place :D

- Yes, I pretty much got the price I wanted - was sold "as is" cancelled rego, no safety cert or anything as it was off to NSW to be registered. Saved me some hassles.

- Why'd i sell it? hmmm, tough one.. long stories, dramas and well R33 are an expensive base to start from. Nothing wrong with the car really at all just was getting a bit sick of it. It will be nice to have further options again.

- What is next? dunno.. have some ideas..but wait and see what comes up. No massive hurry yet. It will be fast.. damn fast.

so I wave goodbye.. and least have some final great photos to remember it by:

DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD! WHICH OLD WITCH? THE WICKED WITCH! DING DONG THE WICKED WITCH IS DEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAD!!

In all humor THE CURSE IS OFFICIALLY LIFTED AND BEEN PASSED ON WIT THE CAR TO THE NEW OWNER!

I now present to you GORDO THE UNCURSED!

Very nice car, but yeah if you do know the full story behind it you will realise that I am not being too harsh with the above statements!

Actually there is one more photo I would like to have seen, and that would have been a photo of Gordo's face when I got the courier to pretend that he had backed into Gordon's car just before the new owner came to pick it up

Priceless :D

muahahahhahaaa

(they don't call me Evil Homer for nothing)

grrr...so believeable too - I wouldn't have believed you clowns but wasn't expecting the other guy!! still plotting a come back for that one sometime... when you *least* expect it!!

I hope the younger guy takes care of it.. guy from country NSW. Bought it from the country, and back to the country it goes.

nice graphic down the side. really suited the car man.

it did.. it did! may have even been the clincher for the sale. thanx for the great work on that.. one day in the not too distanct future I may call upon your great service again.. :D

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
