R32 GTR leather fron seats

Has anyone ever retrimmed their front seats in an R32 GTR with leather.. and what do people think of the idea.. or any photos of it been done?

Just a thought. I have heard of some GTR's coming with factory leather seats but not sure if this is true.

several r34s came from the factory with the leather seats. however im not sure about r32s. i have seen several that have had leather trim aftermarket

depends what you want. leather kind of gives it class and makes it more comefortable, but it does loose that tough, brawn street racer arua

Leather was a factory option on the R34. There have been rumours of factory leather on the R32 but I am yet to see concrete evidence (not saying non exists though).

One thing to remember with leather is that it can be quite slippery, which is not good when going around corners.

All the australian delivered R32's I have seen have had greyish leather seats which makes me believe it was factory (at least for the au ones).

nope - leather is not standard on Aus delivered ones... it's that suede type grey stuff

Yeah well ive only seen two in real life, and both had a greyish leather type trim ... granted both had some sun damage, and the leather had dried up and gone wrinkly/crackly.

There was a grey 32 at Race Pace in Bayswater (melbourne) for a time that had the whole interior trimmed in leather and it looked sensational. He kept the same calor pattern but had grey and black leather. I would have taken the interior for mine in a heart beat.

I think that car now resides in NT? The bloke having trouble with a rebuilt engine utilising gapless rings? It was trimmed by a crowd in Moorabbin AFAIK. I'm very tempted to do exactly the same thing to mine.

I rang up Gary Blackmann Auto Trimmers in Richmond, and they quoted me $950 inc GST for the front pair of buckets on my 32GTR to be retrimmed

They are expensive, but very very good

I think that might have been my car Mick at Race pace. Its actually 2 tone bmw leather (silver and titanium grey) - I got Sash interiors to do it. I had it done for 2700. If you are interested call 0439611934.

A guy at the mt macedon cruise had a r32 IMPUL, he had leather interior and said it was standard in his IMPUL...

The only GTR I know of that came with leather seats was the M-SPEC R34 GTR
