Don't have kids then default_smile.png

Show us your kids. First night back to Bmx racing for a month. Told the boy it's been a while take it easy. Cruised around for 2 laps, then hammered it out the start gate didn't clear the first jump binned it down the massive Hill. 20mins. Just got home from emergency. The boy is destined to own a skyline.

Shoey divided by 100. Did about 703 metres! His knee, hip and elbow had munga deep grazes and the wrist blew up instantly. Checked out all good in X-rays. Phew. Already pushing hard for a day off school tomorrow. Haha. Bad luck. I've been crawling around in and under a dual control rubbish truck called Dennis making 4"s/s intercooler tubing for 2 days. You will be going to school. Show us your dad. Awww

Used to race bmx, did a few cool down laps after an event with my best mate late at night. He clipped the top of a step-up and went head first into the following tabletop. I had to scream out for an ambulance as he was out cold. No damage done tho

Yeah mate. It's a pretty extreme sport as you obviously know. Heart was in my mouth for a few seconds. He dusted it off told everyone he was fine then got on the bike and dumped it again because the chain came off during the stack. He tried to finish the lap. I was fully proud of the boy. The track out at Westside has a pretty extreme start. Best track in w.a. I think.

But crack flossing. A full team of surgeons with pointy nose pliers.

DSC_0288.JPGCheck the tube out. (from the Dennis) Intercooler to manifold intake pipe on the charge air or boost side were 4" o/d. Because the intercooler outlet and the manifold were cast pipes the I/d of the cast pipe was approximately the same as the I/d of a 3 1/2 inch 16 guage tube. They have had problems with the 4" Ali tubes being worn through and cracking from the compressor lines of the Cummins engine wearing through and losing boost pressure and rattling. I left the tube running off the intercooler at 4" like a plenum then reduced it to 3 1/2 to clear the chassis rail and compressor tubes. Still had to press a flat in it for clearance at 3 1/2 inch o/d s/s. We had to lift the chasis from the leafs just to be able to manoeuvre the tube in with a porter power because the 2ton forklift couldn't lift it. Developed 3 tubes from 316 s/s, done the drawings and jigged it up. 2 days. Tighter than a nuns I'm there. Mental.DSC_0292.JPG

It'd bloody hurt coming off in Lycra

Yeah had a couple of offs now, both times mechanical failure not skill related, shit happens, first off was a big one, went over the bars as the wheel at the back came out of its lock. Last week had a front flat and didn't realise went round a corner and ate shit.

I hit a roo at 100ish, wasn't dressed appropriate and ate bitumen. Took me months to get over. Got gangrene weeks later. Riding in Lycra sounds scary to me

Keep telling yourself that grandad

Funny story for u guys. My wife was In the xr8 on gt. eastern hwy near the casino. She took off pretty quick from the lights as she does in the 6 speed manual. She heard a awesome sounding loud as v8 next to her looked over and was surprised to see it was another lady driving a new black senator. It pulled level with her then started gassing it on and off for a race. My wife will never bite back. Unbeknownst to her and my wife the police were right behind them. Woop, Woop, pulled the commodore over. Haha. My wife panicked and thought it was for her but the police waved her on:-)

One like for my fully difficult charge air tube. Hope it was my boss?

    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
