Sweet. The bro does 2 on 2 off, auto sparky/electrician/diesel fitter. 160.000 per annum. He can troubleshoot anything. I have more respect for that man than any other tradesman I know. Cats Cummins mtus Waukesha wartzilla diesel gas locomotives power generation. He has a bedroom at home with dedicated model train sets on all the locos hes worked on. Animal

Sounds like a clever Kent. 160k isn’t that much for someone with so many qualifications and doing FIFO

I’ve got a restricted high voltage ticket aswell but I’ve never had to actually use it so I don’t have any experience. Hopefully I automatically qualify for a lot of the criteria so I can skip through the training easily

Dad's mate had a e46 m3 man that n/a 6 delivered power beautifully. You know, when it wasn't broken down. Dave's nephew just bought a xr6-t out of the yard at midway ford. Dyno at 400rw/kW. Still on p's. Hope he lives to tell the tales.
Faster than a speeding bullet, moar powerful than a locomotive, leaps to air-conditioning in a single bound. It's that fat ranga welding guy.

Dunno if I could handle being in an office full time... too many muppets

Lucky it's summer. Imagine the boost spooling up with the button off in the wet. I've busted traction 3rd to 4th in the xr8 and the skyline in mildly damp conditions. At least the Nissan is direct and pointy when having to pedal it. The falcon has lovels Springs Koni shocks and adjustable sway bars but is still the worst understeering dinghy ever. That massive 5.4 quad cam engine is a f**king boat anchor compared to the Windsor's I've owned. High front centre of gravity. Still the wife's favourite thing. Makes moar noise. Thinks shes a legend shifting at 4500.

Not reli a bmw fan but thr 135 is a twin turbo 6pot, 300hp and there reli light.... gd fun. The motors gd for 500hp on factory injectors and internals. Turbos not to much but its engine out to change them lol....

Id contemplated a fg xr6t to replace the skyline but there so damn heavy... 1800kg.... fat sloth

Heavy yes, but a couple mods and it's putting down 350rwkw. A few more and it's pushing towards 400. all without touching the stock turbo.

that barra motor is a heavy mofo but makes power so effortlessly.

    • There are black hose clamps as well if you care. Plazmaman for example sells some: https://plazmaman.com/product/black-hose-clamps-premium-quality-stainless-breeze/
    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
