Anthony is SST autos as well and has lost a lot of time with this car.

The Manifold is nothing to do with SST and yet we put in all the time needed then cop net bagging and you wonder why we get upset. We suppled an ECU and tryed to tune it when this problem showed up so how is it our fault

PER4MANZ used one of our manifolds today and its perfect but we didnt have the manifolds when grant needed one for your car.

The manifold. All 6 pipes collect just under the turbo flange pointing at the turbo opening so as the revs rise the gas wont turn to exit thru the waste gate.

Hey, everyone...

SAU = No Workshop bagging environment, or hinting towards it please.

Posts edited accordingly.

I aint handed out warnings on this occasion as im not having a bad day for a change.

So take that as a blessing

That being said, Steve-SST and his workshop are well respected around here.

And his son has an awesome GTS-R too, maybe i'll be able to come over for a dual photo session this year :)

I had no problems with you and Anthony and as previuosly mentioned, i understand the situation and have worked along side all of you to try and fix this problem.

******

I was not given an option other than i had to wait 2 weeks for the manifold i have now, nothing was mentioned about your supply of manifolds.I never said i want a monifold NOW, subsequently i was supplied one that doesnt work! (for the record i want people reading this to acknowledge the fact that Grant from PER4ORMANZ has been more than helpfull in trying to resolve this, he also has put in time to sort this out,).But unfortunately i still have a car that makes uncontrollable boost.I now have to by pass the middle men and go to the manifold maker, who is talking go smaller turbo ( GT 25 or 30 ). Sure i am willing to try this but i must admitt it sounds like a patch rather than cure.

It looks like i am on my own now because it's all to hard.

What have i done to deserve this apart from engage proffesional services to do a simple job?

My belief is that a more mature approach should have be taken on all parties behalf and sort this problem out, what more can i realistically say!

Piont taken, not bagging but stating simple facts. No one wants to be put in this situation, it's time consumming ,frustrating and most concerning it strains relationships within the club membership , i for one don't want this but one has to stand up for what is correct.

Steve you owe a few people an apologies.  You in fact know dick about manifold design an or turbocharger selection.  Yes it is best to keep each exhaust pulse separate and unmolested right up to and as CLOSE TO THE TURBINE INLET.  Over boosting in this situation is not a result of a bad manifold  but your own inability to problem solve and identify the problem.  The problem has now been solved and has been shown to be a problem with two cylinders running excessively rich causing a anti lag effect. The car now has no boost control problems along with other vehicles running these exact same manifolds (most of which produce 400+ RWHP with internally standard RB25).

I WONT FLAME YOU ANYMORE AIDS FACE INSTEAD I MIGHT JUST COME DOWN AND PUNCH YOUR SMELLY **** IN.  IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO WATCH THOSE YOU HAVE IRRESPONSIBLY SLANDERED KICK THE PISS OUT OF YOU.  BUT THESE GUYS ARE TO NICE SO THAT IS WHY I MIGHT TAKE IT UPON MYSELF TO OVERSEE A LITTLE JUSTICE, YOU BLOODY ****RIDING, SQUAT TO PISS, LIMP WRISTED, SHIRT LIFTING, ARSE CLOWN.

Funny stuff, i hear this car is still in trouble so we will wait and see.

I don't think this guy likes you very much Steve. :headspin:

PS; I really would like to see a picture of the offending manifold, I have heard of this sort of stuff but (like the Yeti) never actually seen it. :D

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
