I know it's a bit of a pain using the search function as there are so many comments that might not be relevant to you, but have a read of this thread that was created for this purpose. The trouble with what you are asking is that there are so many people for and against so many different workshops that you will get a completely biased view. For example, I have had some great experiences with workshops that my friends don't like and have had a terrible time with and some of their favourite workshops, I have had a terrible time with.

To sum it up, do the research (there is no shortcutting this), work out who you should be listening to and who you shouldn't and take some decisions from there.

The argument that "you must do a search" only to find a thread from 2009 is potentially irrelevant. Things change.

Mate I don't know where you are based but if you want power upgrades there are a few that come to mind in Sydney.

Unique Auto Sports (Seven Hills)

Unigroup Engineering (Girraween)

Croydon Racing Development (Rydalmere)

Unigroup have a very good reputation here and I've never once heard a bad thing about them. The owner Yavuz always gets a good wrap, however he is on the pricier side so I'm told. I personally don't take my car there but I'm just stating what I've read on here. The ONLY reason that I mention Unigroup is because of what I've read and the workshop receives more praise than others on here.

I suggest doing your own research on the workshops, but I would be more inclined to go see them in person and talk about exactly what you want out of your car. If you don't know what that is yet I suggest you think about what you want to do and with a budget in mind so they can guide you further.

If you want more precise answers, then we need more precise questions. And spelling and punctuation doesn't have to be perfect, but (please!!!) at least make some effort here. If you're prepared to spend time asking questions on here, at least spend some of that time getting it right.

Crd has changed if you are not in tune with current affairs.

I don't see what is so hard in using Google.... And then how about you call one of them and see how they treat you. Or test their level of knowledge. And then maybe Google some more.

I had my twin plate OS Giken installed by CRD. Jim's a top bloke, but definitely won't be going back there anytime soon. Wouldn't mind trying tunehouse out for any further mods. Anyone have experience with them?

Yeah, there is no info on what mods you are after. Body? Paint? Engine? Suspension/brakes? Oz doesn't really have many places that are one stop shops

Best to figure out what you need/want then start asking questions. If you don't know, educate yourself first, modding for the sake of modding is a path to fail

Re: Tunehouse, my bro had work done by them, no issues, except price. But, a mate with who blew a motor built by Tunehouse, due to a bad tune, got shafted by them, so tread carefully

If you are on a budget and want power, try Billtech in Sefton/Regents Park. Some big power RB25's coming from them lately. I also like Advance Motor Mechanics in Strathfield for all the stuff I cant do on my own

i heard autobahn88 and its distributors are excellent at making products that leave modification up to the buyer.. check them out.

I'm now looking for power my car is stock motor wise besides a pod filter

My current mods are

Tein coil overs

Wedsports rims 18x9 front and 18x10 rears

Wider front guards

All good went down to garage 88 today Ben was nothing but a great help and great advice recommended same thing as hadouken said so now on the hunt for manual conversion waiting on skyline spares to ring back with a quote

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
