Hi all,

I'm on the hunt for R34 GTT OEM 17" wheels with semis or semi-like track tyres in 225/45R17 (or close), with decent meat left:

  • RE55
  • A050
  • AD08
  • 595RSR
  • KU36

R34 GTT OEM wheels preferred but may consider others that are very close in size i.e. 17 x 7.5", 5/114.3 PCD, +40 offset.

(I'm running 20mm spacers and would prefer to retain them so I can easily swap between street and track wheels without re-Locktiteing...)

Let me know what you've got.

What about a set of Oz Racing, 17 x 8 and +38 (I think - need to confirm). They are Evo rims, so 67.1mm hub, but can supply with a set of alloy hub spacers to fit Skyline. Currently fitted with Toyo R1R's in 235/45 (once again, need to confirm), with tread left (not huge amount, but got a few track days left in them).

Rims were professional re-painted in 2 pack not so long ago, but 1 has a small area needing a patchup. There is also a 5th rim with no tyre available.

They belong to my son, if interested I'll get full details & confirm price. We ran these for a while on an R33 GTST without spacers, and they could have done with a bit more poke.

Thanks Geoff, great wheels with good tyres. Unfortunately the different hub size won't work in my application as I'd prefer not to swap two different types of spacers in and out..

The spacers I'm talking about fit into the back of the rim, and stay there. They come off the car with the rim. They are like:

They are there to make the rim's hub hole fit to the car's hub.

Tyres are 235/40R17

Found some wheels thanks guys.

Still after some UHP tyres or R comps at 235/45R17 with decent meat left if you have some near Melbourne.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
