Ok guys,

Who else is attending so I can make sure we have enough steaks?

Entries are open until 5pm tomorrow night and with only 50 entries you are guaranteed to get lots of laps!

This was an excellent day and it was great to meet some of the SAU crew too! Thanks for lunch too, nice cooking Andrew :)

Car ran well bar some loose manifold-to-turbo nuts, driver needs more practice :)

Either Nord locking washers from https://www.blackwoods.com.au/

or Stage 8 locking from http://gcg.com.au/turbo-parts/stage-8-fasteners

I had a ball, pity about the rest of the facilities falling apart though.

Glad I got in a good number of sessions, somehow went through 60L of fuel and needed to get Jamie to give me a lift to grab some more so I could get home :yucky:

Feels really difficult to work on your times throughout the day as the lap times are so short. Wiping 0.5s off at Calder is like wiping 3 seconds off at PI

Not only that, the temporary chicane kept on changing every session which made it very difficult to get consistent lap times. According to the GPS logger my times varied up to 2 seconds throughout the day just from that section alone.

I had a ball racing around and had no dramas with the car so top day for me! :)

I hope it went well for everyone else too

Thanks again for the day guys, said hi to a few of you but sorry we couldn't head down and have a chat as we were down the other end of the paddock, the sessions came around too quickly!

    • I feel like I'm missing something. You had an authorised installer come out and install a new alarm. Post install the car doesn't start, and you aren't getting the installer back to fix what they did wrong?
    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
