V35 Radio dash modification

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I'm about to buy a second hand OEM radio dash as well as some left over parts of the double din fascia (in pictures). Just wondering if we could kinda cut off the bose radio to make space for the double din aftermarket headunit? Cos from what i see, the aftermarket fascia is basically just the same frame with the big gap for the radio. Would there be any wiring issues?

Also, if i installed the new headunit in, would it work for Sydney Radio stations?

Thanks guys5bb297737ce97d04b2ab577e0148653b.jpg

If you wanna go down the "cutting" road, you'll have to get an AC controller as the existing one is "embedded" to the main pcb board. As far as I know, they are not cheap if you get them separately(around 500$). So another way is to get an aftermarket fascia or get a second hand fascia assembly http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/162398955551?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

You may also need a system interface kit if you want your factory BOSE amplifier create a bond with aftermarket stereo and a few cables

Good luck
