Yes but they're way too big. Honestly, if you want twins with reasonable power and response, -5, cheap and simple upgrade. If you decide to go single, this would be a smart move, the latest and greatest turbo everyone is raving about is the Borg Warner 8374. Excellent response and power. 8374 all the way is my recommendation. If you want ridiculous power and lag the 5533 is for you.

Awsome thanks very much will definately look into these it's just that twins are bolt on and singles are a bit of work and change the stealth look of the engine bay..lol that's all.

Have you heard about the street legal r34gtr named I demon in nz? It's making 1000 horses on HKS gtrs he does run a 3.0 litre setup.

No he isn't, he plucked a bullshit number out of the sky and tried to claim that's what he is making,

Fact is a set of 2530s (-5) and gtrs (-10) will make the same power due to the rear becoming the restriction, the -5s will give much better response and dont have compressor surge problems

For the power you're after go single - far less issues with cooling and a much tidier, less stressed engine. Also - the reviews of the Tomei ARMS are less than favorable - i was considering them at one point myself but after reading many disappointing reviews i'm more in favor of the HKS 2530 kai and gen 3 GT-SS and GT-RS for twin setups however a decent single is still a better option.

Having said that iDemon has had extensive bottom end work to make the amount of power he's rolling on - for 500bhp it's debatable whether this is needed. For 800hp+ you will need to crack open the block and reforge it or you'll end up with a much much bigger bill. You'll also need to sort oil systems and upgrade your injectors and pump. After this, you'll also need a half decent ECU to run it all.

I also believe iDemon is now running a single because response and power levels in newer singles are far superior to old skool twins.

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG has not responded to my emails so far since purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
