Another Horn Problem..

Ok now im scratchin my head...

My horn has a mind of its own! Its beeps until the fuse blows when the cars not running and with no key in the ignition, usually it likes to do it in the middle of the night to wake me up (if i forgotten to pull the fuse when i come home, i dont like driving with out it..) Sometimes its just a quick beep, but mostly it goes till the fues goes bang!

Ive checked the horn button and I can hear it make contact with a firm press, there is no play in the button (95 gtst airbag), ive changed the horn when I got the cooler fitted, ive replaced the relay and the fuse! What else is in the horn circuit that can be replaced?

Im guessing its not a short somewhere because one would resonably assume that it would beep while driving (bumps etc) but it never never happens when im driving the car.

Any suggestions as it has got me completely baffled!

Man i have this exact same problem. Can anyone help? Mine has gone off twice tonite for absolutely no reason without my keys in the ignition.

I've got a VT that used to do the same thing when I first bought it. They just replaced the parts that make contact in the steering wheel and it hasn't done it since. When its cold at night the metal contracts and the parts come into contact and off goes the horn.

Well i'm going to remove the fuse for now, i've ordered a new steering wheel so i'll have a look at the metal contacts when i put it on.
