I'm currently in the market for upgrading the clutch and figured I'll go with a 6-puck clutch to get a bit more bite as I'm primarily going drifting. The car currently produces 500nm and I'm standing between getting either an ACT clutch (https://www.autoextreme.co.uk/act-clutch-nissan-skyline-r32-r33-gtst-heavy-duty-race-sprung-6-puk-clutch.html) or a Xtreme KNI24007-1B. I'm currently running a fullface clutch so I'm aware about that there will be more bit with a 6-puck. However, I'm wondering about ACT vs. Xtreme, I've been trying Googling but due to their generic names it's not easy.

As I'm changing the clutch I figured I might as well get a lightened flywheel and it's current standing between a Competition ultralight flywheel (steel, 5kg) or a Driftworks flywheel (chromoly, 8.5kg). 3.5kg is quite a difference but the materials are also different, which I was curious if anyone could provide additional insight to.

Thanks in advance guys :)

I cant comment on the other but I used Xtreme one with chromoly fly for good couple of years drifting with similar / more power and did the just just fine !

Dont know where you live but currently using NPC - they built a single plate to my required specs - decent $

Unless you've substantial power upgraded, any clutch will do that is not stock to a degree like what you've mentioned. Until you're going to a multiplate, whatever really. Makes more sense for twin and up as a flywheel change is a given, unlike singles.

    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
