Hi all,

I bought some S14 calipers for my R31 with the expectation to space them out to 33 GTR rotors. I have since realized they likely won't fit under 16 inch wheels.
As S14 rotors are 180mm and R33 are 296mm and there is nothing available to space the S14 rotors to 296mm I am left in a meh situation. Is it a considerable difference? I am unsure about whether to "upgrade" to R33 calipers now.

Thanks

I've run the 324mm rotor on s14 and worked well but the standard s14 will be 100x better than r31 stuff even s13 turbo brakes are bigger.

This is a street car yeah? No need for the big rotor upgrade

Street car with the odd recreational track day. Mostly setup for country road spirited drives.

I'd be lying if I said the bling factor didn't have a part to pay in wanting the big 324mm rotors lol

Quality rotors, pads and fluid will be all you need.
Yeah that track being built is way off..........

Seems like it will never be finished!

They said in 2018 they had a contract with a national event for Sep 2021 and they scrimp on major infrastructure too. A lot of political stuff with it too.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
