R33 ecu (MEC-R580D) on R32 GTR ?

Hi,

 

creating a new topic regarding the ecu. I received an ECU ( MEC-R580D) which i belive is from an R33. I dont know if its from GTST or GT-R. I bought this ecu because i need one in my R32 GT-R, and now im looking for information if they are interchangeble? I read on Nistune that R32 Ecu in R33 need some modifications. The only information i got was that that this ecu i received came from r32 GT-R but seems like something isnt right here.

The nissan part number is xxxxx-xxxxx format, if you find that it can probably be checked.

I saw you mention elsewhere it may not be interchangeable due to o2 sensors, I'm not aware of any other difference 32/33 in terms of wiring or functionality, and aftermarket plug ins like Haltech sell a single 32/33 part number which implies it will run fine.

Have you tried it? It should physically plug in and run even if the o2 sensors are different

If you do switch the ECU out you need to change the O2 sensors. As mentioned in your previous thread you cannot run either ECU without a tune if you put GT2860R turbos on your car.
