That's a very stereotypical statement, but you are correct on the most part. There is still a huge number of real japanese sports car (Fairlady's and Supra's mostly) enthusiasts in the US. There are tons of people that truly hate the riceboys that are ever so common here. But I know for a fact that Australia has to have it's share of ricers. After F&F first came out, there were a lot of images circulating of the cast of F&F at a car show in Australia. The cars were mostly WRX's and Honda's with rediculous painjobs. I think the common theme was to have animals painted on your car lol. There was talk that those would be the cars in F&F2 also. So no place is 100% without the evil that is rice.

Maybe we're just bitter that the only way we can easily get a Skyline in America is to go to Motorex and have them charge us $50k for a R33 V-Spec
