i don't think that u should be putting regular unleaded in the car mate...always use 98 octane fuel.

Performance engines, especially turbos need higher octane in the fuel - don't know the specifics, but yeah, u probably don't want to keep runnin regular

I run optimax, which is 'up to 98 octane' , and the car still stalls.

most people use the (premium) fuel that they have used -problay since there first car and stick with it and allways will but with my little knowledge on chev's and v8's and have been an ulltimate user i was proven wrong with senergy ,8000 just like i was with playing with them $$$v8$$$ any way we dont want every 1 to use the same fuel then the price 4 the favourite bang juice will go bang :sadam:

hey,

So these posts are 10 years old now, anyone have any new thoughts on fuel they use and any changes over the years? Back in 2003-04 used Shell in the R32 Gt-R never had a problem. My New R 33 will be on the road in a couple of weeks, was wondering what everyone uses now?

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
