I've got one on my GTR, but I've got nothing to compare it to.

I think I am gonna get 1 for my r34 GTT.

Just a quick question tho. where does it actually sucks up the air? from all the pictures I seem of the unit, they got no intake piping, so does that mean it still sucking up air from within the engine bay, therefore not really a "cold" air induction box?

I've got one in my R33 gts-25t. Don't know if it's better than others though. Looks good but it doesn't have anywhere to suck air from. The filter sits directly under the bonnet so it's probably designed best for vented bonnets.

That's correct. The stock GTR front bar does have air ducts which direct some cool air to the box, but it doesn't fit your classic "cold air intake" definition. Some ducting could help a lot though. Think of it as an under bonnet pod setup.

Mine has 2 filters in it - one on the front and one on top.

well, My car already got one of those Apexi power intake filter ATM, so I was wondering if it's worth the upgrade to 1 of those ARC induction box, for better protection from engine heat.

Summer is coming, n i assume the air under that bonnet would get pretty hot while sitting in traffic, and a pod filter sitting in the open might not be the best idea.

    • Mine is all -12, I’m running a dry sump in a billet block though
    • HG's high flow is not "bolt on". The core is shorter, moves the comp cover rearwards in the engine bay. means you have to deal with the inlet plumbing a little bit. This is probably something to consider with every "bolt on" turbo anyway.
    • HyperGear. Just get a high flow of the stocker. Good, reliable, and should bolt on. Yes it will want things like a retune once done, so you need to factor this in to your spend too.
    • Hi. Iam looking for some "cheaper" bolt on turbo on RB25DET NEO. I do not want "big" power just better reliability than the stock turbo which is "fot now" good but is old and i do not think it has "easy" life. One the Skyline here running some "temu" china Turbo but i dont trust those... Thanks!
