I have a GTR33 and want more power so i was thinking should i buy a set of GT2530 or should i hi flow the standard GTR ones depending on cost. Does anyone know how much either path will cost.????

Im thinking i wont need more power than the max flow of the standard b/c i dont want to fork out for Injectors, Fuel pump etc...

Im trying to keep the performance upgrade to a min cost, your help is much appreciated.

i think rebuilding the stockys would be cheaper as they would go straight in again. buying new turbos would mean spending more to modify xhaust and piping to fit the GT2530 turbos. also possibly reprogramming the ecu.

I know one thing for sure and that is that when a turbo is HIGH FLOWED, they open the turbo up, machine the inlet and outlet, machine the blades, replace seals and bearings and re-oil and clean and put back together and so on, so basically it is like a rebuild.

This alone cost about $900 - $1300 per turbo depending on where you take it.

Now you've got 2 to do so you add up the numbers.

Once all this is done however, you have basically 2 brand new turbos...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the GTR's also have Ceramic exhaust blades? If so, and you want to run high boost, you might need to get them changed to steel.

It might be a cheaper alternative to get new turbo's and sell off the stock items on the forums..

Latest High Octane video (number 3) has a Skyline GTS4 they put the RB26DETT into and they high flowed the standard turbos. There is a steel wheel shaft that is two sizes bigger availbel to us according to the video anyway.....
