thanks for the offer bass, we have someone there already... by the way your mates initials aren't A.K ???

Edit: Bass, get your mate to hook you up with one of those drives days (if he hasn't already) out coldstream way.. trust me you'll have an absolute ball :burnout:

And he knows that if I get behind the wheel of a Porsche that all hell would break loose, so I haven't had the offer yet.

Besides, I can't afford to sign on that line that says "You break, You Pay"

Wanna sponser me??

mesh if you really want an R34 you can have mine. Pristine condition. Never raced. :P

Anyways....

I have to say of all the cars spoken about the ones I give the most credence to is the Porsche GT3. I was never that much of a Porsche fan cause I'd taken both a Boxster S and a Carrera 4 for a spin and thought they were nothing special. I would never consider buying one of these cars.

Then this year I did the Dutton Rally. There was a GT2 and some 996 turbo's that kicked some ass in places - but the GT3's were just the most alround amazing packages considering they are like that straight out of the box.

It's now number 1 on my list of desired cars because you could have a lot of fun with one - not just keep it in the garage.

I dunno about that Snowman....

I've been in a GT2 and GT3 and I reckon that GT2 blitzes the GT3.

But that was from a grunt point of view only.

There's something about a G-Force induced grin that I just can't go by....

Yeah as I said take them both around phillip island or say over an 800m sprint and the GT2 would just blow you away.

But take them both for a run through the Reefton Spur or up The Great Alpine Road and see who wins. My point was that under certain circumstances the GT2 would just kill all but the GT3 would be awesome for everything.

snowwy & bass, the GT2 is twice as much as a GT3? right? Regardless, whilst you two sit there biyatching over the GT2 & GT3, I'll be pondering your a$$'s with a GT.. *cough* carrera GT That is.

EDIT: That's if money is no object ofcourse, and we are just talking about a wishlist.

Yeah but you've got to remember, the CSL comes standard with Semi Comp Rubber.

The GT3 does not. They were testing standard cars against each other.

Slap some Semi Comps on the GT3 and watch it drive off.

im just not really a porsche fan i guess.

i see the things everyday because the service centre at para fill all the cars up with fuel at my servo

i dont mind some of the turbos but thats about it and the cayenne is ok too.

Saw a black SL600 convertable with 19inch chrome deep dish rims on my lunch break in hawthorn while i was out having a perve at all the woman in the nice weather today. The guy driving it looked early to mid 30's. If thats an old mans car, i want to be an old man now!!!

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
