well my buisness idea has fallen through so now that ive got some cash lying around its time to buy a car and your opinion would help. im looking for AWD turbo and i dont like EVO's.

so here are my options.

1. WRX

2. R32 GTR

3. or wait till summer is over and the good driving times are over and buy a r33 GTR june or july next year?

my real fear is DEPRECIATION (think i spelt it wrong) but yes i hate that word and i relise that somthing is only worth what some one is willing to pay for it.

from the 3 i have noted, i feel that the R32 has done most of its depriciating and realisticly wont fall bellow the 18 or 20 mark in 2 to 3 years. or am i wrong?

any comments would be greatly appreciated.

if depreciation scares you then it's time to buy a $500 commodore and accept it.

Car's are not a good investment and you buy them to drive and not make money on.

BTW, the R32 GTR are not likely to depreciate any time soon with the 15 year old import rule going.

WRX are quick in the hands of any driver. Having own one before, they're very forgiving if you make a mistake. Boring if you ask me cause it understeers.

GTR however, will punish you for mistreating it. Drive it right and it's more fun.

You never will know about depreciation. It could drop below those marks.

If you want, you can have mine for $25k. 1993 R32 GTR. :)

all cars depreciate... it just depends on the degree of depreciation. Your right, a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and cars are no exception. They are subject to the normal forces of supply and demand.

Go the R32 GTR... it will depreciate over the next few years but nowhere near the amount for the R33 GTR, mainly due to the discrepancies with the importing laws and DOTARS

great answer...

i know someone with a $300 VK if your interested .. it won`t depreciate much from there

yeah might look in to the commodore more a VB or somthing like that lol

well thanx alot guys i think the GTR is the best way to go i used to have a R33 GTST and i loved that so i might need just to sacrifice the age difference and settle for the power and control. thanx again.

Get the 32 GT-R and with the left over money spend it on re-conditioning it that way its reliable.

Like everyones said, a car is just for driving, not an investment. But in terms of rationability the 32 would be the go (its so old that its not going to depreciate at the same rate as that of the WRX or R33 GT-R. Any car you have you are going to lose money on. Except for antique cars but thats a different league altogether.

Go the 32 GT-R

    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
