Hi Guys,

I would really appreciate the help.

I am looking to purchase a Trust Power Extreme II Cat back with the BATMBL combination.

If any people out there who have a PEII setup, would you be able to tell me if its loud in the cabin as well as outside? I prefer to not have the cops pulling me over all the time.

Please do let me and others know what your opinions are on the Trust PEII catback exhaust.

Thanks fellas.

I've got Michael's dump pipe and a PEII on my 33 GTST. It's quite quiet for it's size. Really nice note, and not a droney exhaust.

As for fitting, everything bolted straight up. Although the centre muffler seemed to be quite close to the rear driveshaft, so I had a spacer put on to make the exhaust sit a bit lower.

Apart from that, I love it! :/

Are you ordering it from Nengun? Their prices look pretty good, even with $400 shipping.

Shipping exhausts is about $400? Damn - I almost bid on a Nismo cat-back on Yahoo Japan auctions the other day but was unsure about the shipping costs....

At that price its worth ditching the cat back and just getting the brand name muffler and fabricating the piping over here. Plus you could get it done stainless over here with a better looking hotdog resonator and it would be a great system overall. Cheaper than shipping from Japan.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all your feedbacks. Much appreciated.

I checked out Nengun and he has got R33 PE II for ~ $580 + ~ $337 for shipping = $917 and may take upto or more than 5 days to get delivered.

I have managed to find a source in Melbourne that can provide brand new Trust PE II for $910. I suppose "saving is still a saving".

Let me know if you guys are interested or if you know anyone who could be interested in this.

Thanks guys.

:D

Yep. that is so true. Atleast you can rock up to Autobarn and talk to them face to face.

I have been emailing Nengun for the past week and he hasnt even gotten back to me about prices, costs.

I was looking to get a Fujitsubo Legalis R through a guy for my GTT. He ended up sending the GTR one and still has not replied to any one of my emails.

Recently got the Fujitsubo Super Legalis R on my r33 gts25t, personally i stilll think its too loud compared to stock, hey Razorsharp, need to meet up with you some time to compare, i know on idle the Fujitsubo is loudish, i haven't revved my car yet because still braking in the engine so can't tell you what it sounds like on full throttle.

i use to have an Apexi N1 and it was VERY LOUD, ahahh too loud for my liking, but i've got high flow cat and custom front pipe and alot of other mods (forged pistons, high flow head etc etc) that could affect the noise level as well, BUT personally i'll prefer the Trust PE2, from experience on a s15 and other ppl's opinion everyone said its nice and quiet.

my 2 cents

Yeah, thats the impression i had when i looked at the pics of. It has a pretty big resonator. I m really not a big fan of the cat-pipe-muffler solutions, too loud on idle.

I ended up talking to Autobarn and got it from them. Thanks razor. :)

If anyone is interested in the PE2, i would be more than happy to organise group buy. I can have a word with Autobarn and get some good prices. Shipping costs from Japan and then the waiting is extremely annoying.

You're right - the N1 catback is same price as the PE2 and the N1 muffler comes out at an angle. I hate that look.

RedBaron: Do autobarn have stock of these PE2? I wonder if they could get a catback in for an R34 GTR?

    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
