Hey, Im new here, and just got my first skyline.

Was wondering how to make her go faster/perform better.

It came with a blitz BOV, blitz turbo timer, Apexi POD, 3inch Custom Exaust from the turbo (so ive been told) and aftermarket 17" rims.

Its a R33 gts-t, '93 model. it also has a 400R front end on it. I wanna spend another $5000 on it, just wondering what would be the best thing to spend it on. Im thinking along the lines of a FMIC, Cold Air Induction, maybe even a bigger turbo, if money allows it.

Since im new, any comments/suggestions greatly appreciated. Let me know.

Thanks.

1) turbo back zaust (and get a cold air box for that POD)

2) FMIC

3) EBC (electronic boost controller) (boost to anything <= 14 psi for non track use)

4) Zaust Cam gear

5) Apexi PFC computer

That should see you to 200rwkw

Have I forgotten anything guys/gals?

If i had what you have atm :( i would go for:

Rough Figures (Shopping Around)

FMIC = $1300

PowerFC + Controller = $1100

Tuning = $600

Adjustable Cam Gear Ex = $200

Aftermarket Turbo = $1550

Fuel Pressure Regulator = $200

Simple Bleed Valve = $50

Maybe a Fuel Pump (depends on the condition of you stock one)

It should get you to $5000 depends on what prices you get the items for and what type of turbo eg. 2530, 2540 etc and how much tuning comes down too.

Cheers Rob

edit: some on the items I referred to would make it in budget if they were brought second hand if possible like the turbo the FPR or even a fuel pump. It really comes down to shopping around. Personally I would get the FMIC the adjustable cam gear done and a powerfc inc. a good tune, and then see how you feel from there.

Woops, forgot about the fuel pump which you WILL have to replace when you get the PFC. I would not worry about a new turb until you a sick of 200wrkw. Trust me, it wont take long :(

Well if you are going to give it more power, then you would need better brakes. My brakes are working shit at 250kw, but hey cant afford Brembos :)

People want to spend money for all go, then they cant stop...

Dude if I got to do it all over again - screw suspension and screw body work and screw gauges lol.

I recommend this and in this order:

- Pod Filter + Box/Partition

- Turbo Back 3" Exhaust

- Front Mount Intercooler

Want more?

- PowerFC

- ~13 psi boost

Then you should know where to go on your own :D

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
